Fiber Laser Cutter: SENFENG Installs New Machine in Brazil
On November 5, 2024, SENFENG installation engineer Ma Yifei landed in São Paulo, Brazil, after nearly 24 hours of long-distance flight. To avoid production delay, Ma arrived at the customer’s site a day before the new machine (SF3015H 12kW CNC laser cutting machine) was scheduled to arrive, then, guided the customer’s workers in uncarting, unpacking and inspecting the carry-on components to prepare for installation.
On the first day of installation, Ma came up against two issues. First, the customer had purchased a 75kVA transformer from another manufacturer, but the new machine required 120kVA. To expedite the installation, it was decided to rent a truck-mounted power plant to switch on the machine tentatively.
Second, to save costs, the customer didn’t purchase air compressor but hoped to use air to cut carbon steel under 10mm thickness. On this occasion, Ma recommended an air compressor manufacturer and provided detailed information on the required air pressure, flow rate, power and other specifications. Given this, we advised all customers to purchase the matching CNC laser cutting machine devices when placing the order, which would not only save time and efforts but also improve the compatibility of these components and avoid effect on overall operational performance.
Subsequently, Ma carried out machine leveling, welding of anchor bolts, assembling frames & tank chains, aligning and installing main sheet metals according to installation requirements. In this process, he also encountered issues such as X servo drive alarm, non-functioning display screen, incorrect fan configurations, and stationary exchange platforms. After consulting with colleagues and relevant manufacturers, all issues were successfully resolved in a short time.
Before production commence, Ma provided training to the customer’s workers on CNC laser cutting machine operation and maintenance, and specifically explained how to connect air circuit once the air compressor above arrived. He then stayed on site for 2 days to guide the customer on how to cut 6-9mm thick carbon steel plate at high efficiency. After several attempts, these workers were able to show perfect mastery of operating skills and were well aware of specific frequency and steps for daily maintenance.
