Press Brake: Engineer Assists Installation in Philippines
From June 4 to 8, 2024, SENFENG engineer Shi Qingzhi arrived at a customer factory in the Philippines to install a CNC press brake after make all preparations. This machine has a large bending force of 2000kN and can bend 3200mm long and 10 mm thick aluminum plate at most.
Upon arrival at the site, Shi discovered that its pressure sensor had been damaged during oversea transport. After talking with relevant colleagues, he decided to expedite a new pressure sensor from China for the customer. While waiting for the new parts, he first installed oil pump, synchronization block, filled hydraulic oil, mounted sheet metals and safety light curtain, then, powered on, imported offline software, and upgraded 2D simulation function for the customer, allowing users to visually see bending path and effects before bending.
Subsequently, Shi trained the customer on how to use control system and tested bending angle with a 3m long plate. After multiple tests, the bending angle and size compensation were found to be normal. He also guided the customer on maintenance and upkeep of this press brake, with a regular maintenance reminder to help the customer avoid machine accidents due to untimely maintenance and extend the machine’s lifespan. Additionally, for CNC press brake, bending quality depends largely on bending molds, so Shi focused on explaining how to design upper and lower molds and how to adjust bending parameters accordingly.
After waiting for about 4 days, the new pressure sensor arrived at the customer’s site. Shi installed it and confirmed that everything was functioning properly before leaving the Philippines.
